Lochnagar the next day with ice axes, and crampons which probably weren't needed (or probably were, but we didn't). Proper whiteout on top, and when it cleared spindrift like that bit at the end of Raiders of the Last Ark when they open the box.
Drove into Aberdeen for food at the Bobbin which is now called the Bobbin. Camped on the beach after cooking sausages over a fire up against one of the WWII pill boxes. Loud waves in the night.
Breakfast this morning on or near Belmont street, then up and down Bennachie (where the Gaudie runs) and home in time to put the girls to bed - Isobel with a bleeding nose after putting her hooded towel on back to front and coming a cropper.
Apart from that, brilliant weekend, and I still have 12 nights in the bank from K's trip to Cuba.
Good to get some time on snow. More next winter.
